OUR GOAL
Building For The Future
The main objective of our car raffle fundraiser in 2022 was to raise funds to start the development of an adjoining piece of land into a juvenile training and playing pitch. This involves the purchase of land, site clearance works, the building of boundary fencing, land drainage and creating a new pitch complete with goalposts.
An upgrade to the floodlight system, on the existing pitch, is also required. The club is also planning to replace the old pitch perimeter fencing along the stand side of the main pitch. We will continue this work with the help of funds raised by the ‘Lanzarote Summer Holiday Giveaway’
Lastly, we are improving the general surfaces of the grounds including at the entrance gates and around the area of the clubhouse & changing room.
The 2022 fundraiser involved the raffle of a brand-new car in order to achieve our funding goal and the club will run further fundraisers in the future to help complete the works listed above. Like every voluntary and community-based organisation, Finuge GAA club relies on public support to help maintain its facilities. We thank everybody within our community and further afield for their generous support in the past and look forward to ongoing support.
The aim of our ‘Finuge 500’ monthly draw is to contribute regular funding to help defray the costs of running the club. These costs include insurance, light & heat, water, repair, maintenance and general upkeep of the facilities. Like every sporting club, these are unavoidable costs that must be met in order to keep the facilities at an acceptable and safe standard.
